In the last days it was pretty chilly outside and I didn’t have the time to prepare my small bonsai for the winter yet, neither the roses ware prepared.
So I had to hurry because the forecast for the next days was giving snow and cold, freezing wind.
All in a hurry I prepared my roses covering the roots with soil and pine branches, the big bonsai were already dig in the ground of the garden but the small shohin were still outside and I notice that the ground was frozen. Hight time to prepare them for the cold season.
Since the ground was pretty frozen to, I decide to put them in a big pot filled with a mixture of soil and coconut rope in a ratio or 20-80% ca. I hope the shohin will recover and survive the winter.

Es war kalt in den letzten Tagen und ich habe noch keine Zeit gefunden um meine Rosen und die kleine Bonsai vorzubereiten für den Winter. Ich musste pressieren da die Wetter Prognose für die nächste tagen waren alles anders als erfreulich
Ganz schnell habe ich die Rosen vorbereitet: ein bisschen erden auf den Wurzeln und mit Fichten Zweigen abgedeckt. Die grosse Bonsai hatte ich schon eingebragen, jedoch die shohin waren noch nicht vorbereitet und ich stellte fest das der Boden der shohins war bereits eingefroren.
Da der Boden im Garten auch eingefroren war habe ich mich für eine andere Lösung entschieden. Ich habe sie in einen grosse Holz Container eingegraben mit eine Mischung als Erde und Kokosfasern in Verhältnis 20-80% ca. Ich hoffe dass sie den Winter überleben.
